Gerrit M. Grosse, Research Group Leader in the Department of Clinical Research at University of Basel, Senior Physician at University Hospital Basel (USB), shared on LinkedIn:
”I am pleased to announce a Special Issue in Acta Neurologica Scandinavica Wiley on ‘Novel Advances in Stroke Biomarker Research’ – now open for submissions.
Blood-based biomarkers are transforming stroke care, but clinical implementation still lags.
This issue focuses on rigorous research that advances validation, standardization, and clinical impact.
We welcome studies on omics, multimarker approaches, integration with imaging and clinical tools, and biomarker-guided decision-making with an emphasis on patient-relevant outcomes and implementation.
Submission deadline: 31 October 2026.
Looking forward to your contributions.”
