Giacomo Centenaro: I Arrived to Represent My Country and Community at WFH 2026
Giacomo Centenaro, Project Manager at Crafted, shared on LinkedIn:
”Four days at WFH Congress 2026 have come to an end.
I arrived carrying the responsibility of representing my country and my patient community.
I’m leaving with something I didn’t fully anticipate: a clearer perspective on how closely my professional world connects to this one.
I live with a bleeding disorder, but I also work as a project manager in a communication agency, where my focus is on shaping messages, aligning stakeholders, and turning complex topics into something people can actually understand and act on.
Usually, these two parts of my life don’t overlap. This week in Kuala Lumpur, they did.
Being surrounded by patients, clinicians, researchers, caregivers, and policymakers from more than 130 countries felt, in many ways, familiar.
Not because of the context, but because of the dynamics: different voices, different priorities, and a shared goal that only works if communication is clear, aligned, and effective.
You hear about breakthroughs in gene therapy and advances in treatment, but you also hear stories from those who still lack access to basic care.
And it becomes evident that the gap isn’t just scientific – it’s about how information is shared, how priorities are communicated, and how advocacy is built and sustained over time.
That’s where I recognized my role. Because beyond science, progress depends on narratives, on the ability to connect people, and on making complex realities understandable and actionable.
It’s not just about innovation—it’s about how that innovation is communicated, perceived, and ultimately delivered.
Grateful to Fedemo for this opportunity, and to the World Federation of Hemophilia and the Hemophilia Society of Malaysia for bringing this global community together.”
