Jigyasa Pal: Beyond Care – Empowering Lives with HPAP
Jigyasa Pal, Counsellor at Intas Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It was one of those meaningful days that reminded me why I chose a career in social work.
I feel deeply grateful to have been a part of this wonderful Hemophilia Camp organized under the (Hemophilia Patient Assistance Program) by the Intas Foundation for hemophilia patients from across Chhattisgarh.
The camp focused on factor distribution for timely prevention, physiotherapy sessions to improve mobility and manage pain, and informative discussions on prevention and genetic counseling. These initiatives play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of individuals living with hemophilia.
A special thanks to Dr Ganpat Jha whose insightful session on genetic counseling and preventive care was one of the highlights of the camp. His guidance emphasized the importance of awareness, early intervention, and informed decision-making, empowering both patients and caregivers to better understand and manage the condition.
What truly stood out was the heartfelt interaction with patients and their families.
Witnessing their resilience, courage, and determination despite daily challenges was both inspiring and humbling.
Moments like these reaffirm my commitment to the field of healthcare and social work. I am thankful for the opportunity to contribute, learn, and walk alongside these courageous individuals in their journey.”
