Ligia Carolina Facin: Investigating a Novel Therapeutic Strategy for ATTR-CM
Ligia Carolina Facin, Fellowship in Cardiac Amyloidosis at Ensino InCor, Cardio-Oncology Resident at Heart Institute, University of São Paulo (FMUSP), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It was a great privilege to participate in the CLEOPATTRA Investigators’ Meeting, an international clinical trial investigating a novel therapeutic strategy for transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM).
Over the past few years, we have witnessed remarkable advances in the treatment of ATTR-CM.
Now, a new frontier is being explored: therapies aimed at removing amyloid deposits already present in cardiac tissue, with the potential to further transform the course of the disease.
Being part of a study investigating this innovative therapeutic approach is a unique opportunity to contribute to the evidence that may shape the future of cardiac amyloidosis treatment.
Science, international collaboration, and clinical research opening new perspectives for our patients.”
