Maria Elisa Mancuso: EHC 2026 Opens with Focus on Haemophilia Care, Access and Rare Disorders
Maria Elisa Mancuso, Professor of Medicine at Frankfurt University Hospital, Medical Specialist at Humanitas Research Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A great start to the EHC – European Haemophilia Consortium Conference 2026 in Istanbul!
It was a pleasure to co-chair the opening session on Haemophilia Care in Türkiye, an insightful opportunity to learn more about the current landscape of haemophilia care, treatment strategies and access to care, while also hearing the perspectives of patients and families.
The first day continued with stimulating discussions on the evolving treatment landscape in haemophilia with an excellent talk delivered by Pratima Chowdary – from advances in factor replacement therapy to the broader outcomes that increasingly matter to people living with haemophilia.
Prof. Alessandro Casini gave an overview on the landscape of rare bleeding disorders, a group of diseases still underserved and in need for better care.
What makes the EHC Conference particularly valuable is the opportunity to bring together the patient and healthcare professional communities, combining scientific progress with the experiences, priorities and expectations of those living with bleeding disorders.
A very inspiring first day, with many more conversations, exchanges and opportunities to come over the weekend.”
