“Every leadership journey has its season.

As many of our strategic partners already know, my term as Chairperson of the South African Haemophilia Foundation came to an end at the close of June.

I do so with immense gratitude for the opportunity to have served alongside an incredible community of patients, families, healthcare professionals, partners, volunteers, and fellow Board members.

Together, we have continued advancing the Foundation’s mission of improving the lives of people living with bleeding disorders in South Africa. While there is still much work ahead, I am proud of what we achieved together and deeply grateful for the trust placed in me.

Congratulations to the newly elected Board and leadership. I wish you wisdom, courage, and every success as you lead the Foundation into its next chapter.

I have every confidence that you will continue building on the Foundation’s legacy and pursuing its mission with purpose.

Although my tenure as Chairperson has come to an end, my commitment to the bleeding disorders community remains unchanged.

“The South African Haemophilia Foundation is pleased to announce its newly elected National Executive Committee.

Following the SAHF Biennial General Meeting process held on 9 May and 6 June 2026, the new Executive Committee officially assumed office on 1 July 2026, after the handover and transition period.

Incoming SAHF National Executive Committee:

  • Ronald Mahomane — Deputy National Chairperson
  • Pelisa Nongena — National Secretary
