Maxime Dely: The Human Connection Behind Stem Cell Donation
Maxime Dely, Therapeutic Solutions Sales Consultant at Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Stem cell donation: when human connection goes beyond words.
There are moments when science deeply meets the human experience.
Allogeneic stem cell donation is one of them.
Behind this medical term lies a rare and powerful act: that of an older sister donating to her younger brother.
The collection process remains similar to an autologous transplant.
But here, the difference is essential: the cells come from another body, carried through a unique bond.
Allogeneic donation is about compatibility, but also about an invisible, deeply human connection.
This act reminds us how solidarity can truly become life-saving.
In France, anyone between 18 and 35 years old can register as a bone marrow donor.
A simple registration can become a chance at life for a patient still waiting.
Let’s never forget: behind every donation, there is a story.
And sometimes, a life that continues.”
