A blood sample may look simple, but it can reveal a remarkable amount of information about what is happening inside the body.
From CBC and peripheral blood smear to biochemistry, coagulation, hormonal and serological tests, every result provides a piece of the diagnostic puzzle.
- CBC – evaluates blood cells, anaemia, infection and bleeding disorders.
- Peripheral blood smear – reveals cellular morphology and abnormal blood cells.
- Biochemistry – provides clues about liver, kidney, heart and metabolic function.
- Coagulation tests – assess the body’s clotting process.
- Specialized tests – help investigate specific diseases and conditions.
