Shayan Mohammadmoradi: Supporting Cardiovascular Research Through Community Action
Shayan Mohammadmoradi, Vascular Biology and Platelet Function Scientist at University of Kentucky, CEO at Moradi Enterprise, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today our Cardiovascular Research Team went to Keeneland and it was worth every step!
The 2026 Central Kentucky Heart Walk was a reminder of why we do this work.
You can spend years studying atherosclerosis, platelet biology, and vascular disease at the bench but walking alongside survivors, caregivers, and community members who’ve lived it puts everything in perspective.
To everyone who donated: thank you.
Your generosity funds the research, CPR education, and community outreach that the American Heart Association channels into real, measurable impact.
It comes back to Central Kentucky and it saves lives here.
Our lab will keep doing the science.
We’ll be back next year!”
