Bryce A. Kerlin: Albumin Regulates Both Fibrin Clot Structure and Its Susceptibility to Fibrinolysis
Bryce A. Kerlin, Professor of Pediatrics – Hematology at The Ohio State University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“In the latest research from my lab, Amanda Waller, in a great collaboration with Alisa Wolberg’s lab, demonstrated that albumin regulates both fibrin clot structure and its susceptibility to fibrinolysis.
Many thanks to our now retired lab tech, Katelyn Wolfgang, former student, Zachary Stevenson, and Lori Holle for their assay skills at the bench! You guys made this project both possible and fun!!!”
Title: Hypoalbuminemia increases fibrin clot density and impairs fibrinolysis
