Dr. Sushma Umrao: Honored to Attend the 4th Emirates Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and Gene Therapy Congress
Dr. Sushma Umrao, Consultant Clinical Pathologist at Royal Group LLC, Abu Dhabi, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Honored to attend the 4th Emirates Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and Gene Therapy Congress on 8th and 9th November 2025.
It was truly inspiring to be part of this international gathering of pediatric BMT physicians and researchers — all united by one mission: to advance care and save children’s lives globally.
The two-day congress at the Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi brought together world-renowned experts from the USA, UK, Germany, Italy, India, and across the region. Sessions covered cutting-edge topics including:
Innovations in cell and gene therapy
Advances in pediatric bone marrow transplantation for malignant and non-malignant disorders
Updates on CAR-T cell therapy, GVHD management, and long-term survivor care
The conference also provided a wonderful platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among pediatric hematology and oncology professionals.
Heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Zainul Aabideen, Prof. Rupert Handgretinger, and the entire organizing committee for curating such an impactful scientific program and for their warm hospitality.
Looking forward to applying the insights gained here to improve pediatric patient outcomes and to contributing to future collaborations in this vital field.”
