Aabha Divya: Thrilled to Share Our Latest Publication in Annals of Thoracic Surgery Short Reports!
Aabha Divya, Assistant Professor at Cardiothoracic Surgery at Tulane University and LCMC Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Thrilled to share our latest publication in Annals of Thoracic Surgery Short Reports!
Our case report, “Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery in a Patient with an Occluded Abdominal Aorta Supported by Microaxial Left Ventricular Assist Device,” highlights the use of Impella 5.5 as perioperative support in a complex surgical scenario where conventional mechanical circulatory support was not feasible.
This case contributes to the evolving discussion around perioperative use of temporary LV support in surgical patients with limited access options.
Grateful to the Annals of Thoracic Surgery Short Reports editorial team for publishing our work.”
