Aikati Anastasiou: Advancing Stroke Imaging Insights from the DISTAL Trial

Aikati Anastasiou, Radiology Resident at University Hospital Basel (USB), shared on LinkedIn about a recent article she and his colleagues co-authored, published in JAMA Neurology, adding:

”Excited to share that our work has just been published in JAMA Neurology!!

Our article ‘Imaging outcomes after medium or distal vessel occlusion: a sub-study of the DISTAL Trial’ dives into how imaging-based endpoints may improve the assessment of the treatment outcomes of endovascular treatment in patients with medium- or distal-vessel occlusion stroke.

A big thank you to all co-authors, DISTAL investigators, and of course to our wonderful DISTAL Team.

This would not have been possible without your commitment and expertise.”

Victor Schulze-Zachau, Neurointerventional Fellow at Beaumont Hospital, shared Aikati Anastasiou‘s post on LinkedIn:

”Understanding a trial and its implications is more than reading the abstract.

Sometimes it requires a deep dive into the original data to get a holistic perspective.

Congratulations Aikati Anastasiou, Marios Psychogios, Urs Fischer for this great subanalysis.”
