Baraa Nassar: High Clinical Suspicion Is Essential for Early Diagnosis of CVST
Baraa Nassar, Neurologist, Public Health Facilitator at IFMSA, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Case Reports in Ophthalmology, adding:
“I am pleased to share that our case report has been published in Case Reports in Ophthalmology (Karger Publishers).
Title:Recurrent Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis Presenting with Isolated Visual Symptoms: A Case Report
This report describes a rare presentation of recurrent cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), where the patient presented with isolated visual symptoms in the absence of the typical neurological findings.
The case highlights the importance of maintaining a high index of suspicion for CVST, even when symptoms appear subtle, to facilitate timely diagnosis and appropriate management.
We hope this publication contributes to greater awareness of this uncommon clinical presentation and supports clinicians in recognizing similar cases, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my co-authors for their collaboration and dedication throughout this work.”
