Christopher Gasparis: Anticoagulation After Atrial Fibrillation Ablation – Long-Term Impact on Stroke
Christopher Gasparis, Surgery Resident at Northwell Health, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Heart Rhythm O2, adding:
“Excited to share our new ITHACA database publication in Heart Rhythm O2!
We investigated the long-term risk of stroke in select patients with elevated CHA2DS2-VASc score who discontinued anticoagulation following atrial fibrillation ablation.
A big thank you to my mentors Stavros Mountantonakis and Kristie Coleman and my coauthors Stefanos Zafeiropoulos, Jonas Leavitt, Elliot Wolf, Ari Zimmer, Rajat Goyal and Dr. Laurence Epstein for their guidance and contributions.”
