Targeted Outside-In Signaling Inhibition – Dissociating Thrombosis from Hemostasis – JTH
Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Shuang Liu, adding:
“SrcE97A mediates convergent regulation of arterial/venous thrombosis and immune homeostasis via β3–Src dissociation
Integrin β3 signals bidirectionally in clotting and inflammation, with Src as a key effector.
Mice engineered to selectively break the Src to β3 link lost outside-in signaling while keeping inside-out intact, which cut arterial and venous thrombosis and protected against cerebral infarction without impairing hemostasis.
The same disruption skewed T helper cells toward Th1 and promoted pulmonary inflammation.”
