Katherine Simbaña Rivera: Understanding Thromboembolic Risk After COVID-19
Katherine Simbaña Rivera, Personal docente investigador at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine, adding:
“New publication in Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Cardiovascular complications remain one of the most important long-term consequences following COVID-19.
In our latest study, we contribute new evidence to better understand the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 infection and thromboembolic events, a topic with significant implications for patient care and public health.
This publication reflects the value of multidisciplinary collaboration and the importance of continuing to investigate the long-term effects of emerging diseases beyond the acute phase.
My sincere thanks to Jesús Endara-Mina for his leadership throughout this project, and to all co-authors and collaborators who contributed their expertise, time, and commitment to this work.
Scientific progress is built through teamwork, critical thinking, and the shared goal of improving health outcomes through evidence.”
