Lukas Röthlisberger: Real-World Evidence on Effectiveness and Safety of Rivaroxaban in Children

Lukas Röthlisberger, Clinical Trainee in Surgery at Schaffhausen Hospitals, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Hämostaseologie, adding:

“I am very happy to share that our study on the real-world use of rivaroxaban in children has now been published online in Hämostaseologie.

In this retrospective study, we analyzed the use, effectiveness, and safety of rivaroxaban in 57 pediatric patients treated at the University Children’s Hospital Zurich. In our cohort, rivaroxaban was safe and effective, adding real-world evidence to the growing experience with direct oral anticoagulation in children.

I am especially grateful to Alessandra Bosch and Manuela Albisetti for their guidance, trust, and support throughout this project.

I have learned a great deal from working with them and am very thankful for the opportunity to contribute to this research.

Seeing this project progress from clinical data to presentation and now publication has been an incredibly rewarding experience.”
