Marie Dragoy: Insights from Norway on Helicopter Emergency Services in Suspected Stroke Care
Marie Dragoy, Medical Student at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:
”I am happy to share that my first scientific article was published earlier this year:
‘The Use of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services in Treatment of Suspected Cerebral Stroke in Norway: A Retrospective Cohort Study’
This project was my first introduction to the world of research, and while the learning curve was steep, the process was truly rewarding!
I was also fortunate to have the opportunity to present the work at Oslo Helicopter Emergency Medical Services Conference 2025, where I got to listen to and speak with many inspiring people within pre-hospital care.
I’m very grateful for the support, guidance and patience(!) of my excellent co-authors and supervisors throughout the process.
If you find yourself curious about the characteristics of the patients with suspected stroke for whom Helicopters are dispatched in the middle region of Norway, this is the article for you!”
