Mohammad Alzoubi: One Month of Dual Antithrombotic Therapy After PCI Was Non-Inferior to 12 Months

Mohammad Alzoubi, Senior Neurologist at MOH, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Yohei Sotomi et al., published in adding:

“The OPTIMA-AF RCT (n=1,079) showed that 1-month dual antithrombotic therapy after PCI in AFib was non-inferior to 12 months for death or TE events and reduced major or clinically relevant nonmajor bleeding.”

Title: 1-month versus 12-month dual antithrombotic therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with atrial fibrillation (OPTIMA-AF): a multicentre, open-label, hybrid non-inferiority and superiority, randomised, controlled trial
