Muhammad Essa: Comparing Indobufen and Aspirin in Acute Ischemic Stroke
Muhammad Essa, Coordinator at IIMC Literary and Debating Society, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Clinical Neuropharmacology, adding:
”A year ago i didn’t know what a meta analysis was.
Today I have multiple abstracts accepted at international conferences and I’m delighted to share that our research article, ‘Indobufen Versus Aspirin in Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis,’ has been published in Clinical Neuropharmacology (Lippincott, Wolters Kluwer). Alhamdulillah.
This publication holds a particularly special place in my heart.
Being one of the first research projects I worked on, it gave me the opportunity to contribute to different stages from literature screening and data extraction to statistical analysis and manuscript preparation.
I am especially grateful to Ahmad Hassan for his invaluable mentorship, guidance, and encouragement throughout this journey.
A heartfelt thank you to all my co-authors for their contributions and for making this work possible.
Key Findings
Our systematic review and meta-analysis suggests that indobufen may offer comparable efficacy to aspirin, with better functional outcomes and a lower risk of short-term bleeding.”
