Raghavendra Rao: Early Endothermal Ablation and Contemporary Management of Superficial Venous Thrombosis
Raghavendra Rao, General Surgeon at Vein Clinic, Founder of Best Surgical Education, LLC, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Jiasheng Zhang et al, published in EJVES Vascular Forum, adding:
“Early endothermal ablation for ACUTE superficial venous thrombosis by Chinese authors – 2 punctures were done above and below the thrombus for thigh SVT. Incisional drainage of thrombus was done.
Please note – this was a series of patients with SVT occurring in the context of chronic venous insufficiency. Patients were on anticoagulation, which was continued 1 month post op.”
