Vidhi Shukla: Anticoagulant Activity of Ficus Racemosa Bark Extract in Rats
Vidhi Shukla, Assistant Professor at B. K. Mody Government Pharmacy College, Rajkot, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, adding:
“Excited to share another milestone in my research journey!
I am pleased to announce the publication of our research article in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Title: ‘Evaluation of Anti-Coagulant Activity of Ficus racemosa Bark Extract in Rats’
This study investigates the anticoagulant potential of the ethanolic extract of Ficus racemosa bark through both in vitro and in vivo evaluations.
The findings demonstrated significant effects on key coagulation parameters, including Prothrombin Time (PT) and Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT), highlighting the potential of plant-derived bioactive compounds as promising candidates for further pharmacological investigation.
Writing and contributing to this research was both challenging and rewarding. It provided an opportunity to explore the pharmacological potential of medicinal plants while strengthening my understanding of experimental research, anticoagulant evaluation, and the role of natural products in drug discovery.
I am grateful to everyone who supported and contributed to this research journey.”
