Zahabia Adnan: Meta-Analysis Supports Rivaroxaban as an Effective Option for Cancer-Associated VTE

Zahabia Adnan, Research Executive at Student Research Form-SMC, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Clinical and Applied Thrombosis/Hemostasis, adding:

“I’m pleased to share our recently published systematic review and meta-analysis, ‘Rivaroxaban versus Low Molecular Weight Heparin for Cancer-Associated Venous Thromboembolism,’ in Clinical and Applied Thrombosis/Hemostasis.

Analyzing data from 25 studies and 19,153 patients, our findings indicate that rivaroxaban was associated with a significant reduction in both VTE recurrence and all-cause mortality compared to low molecular weight heparin in patients with cancer-associated thrombosis.

These results contribute to the evolving evidence on anticoagulant selection in oncology and highlight the need for continued large-scale trials.

I’m grateful for the invaluable contributions of my co-authors for making this project successful.

Hoping to work on more projects too.

Do give a read to it.”
