Time to Integrate Measurement Uncertainty in Hemostasis Assays: RPTH Journal Commentary

Michael Makris, Emeritus Professor of Haemostasis and Thrombosis at the University of Sheffield, Editor-in-Chief of RPTH Journal, posted on LinkedIn:

”Coagulation laboratories should provide a measurement of uncertainty along with each result.
This is an important concept that should have an impact on everybody’s clinical practice.
This commentary in the RPTH Journal is short, succinct and makes the point clearly. It is time that the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) and specifically the scientific and standardisation committees put out a position statement on this.”

Title: Time to integrate measurement uncertainty in method comparison and interpretation of hemostasis laboratory assays
