Ganesh Mohan: This Was My First Initiative to Improve Awareness About Thrombophilia
Ganesh Mohan, Professor at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, reposted from Transfusion Medicine KMC Manipal on LinkedIn:
”’One step at a time’
This was my first initiative to improve awareness about thrombophilia.
International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) training had helped me a lot in believing such attempts.
I had the opportunity to invite three eminent speakers and they did a really fantastic work.
I was more impressed and surprised by the number of participants and their enthusiasm.
Thankful to everyone who made this a success.”
Quoting Transfusion Medicine KMC Manipal‘s post:
”World Thrombosis Day 2025 | Webinar on “An Update on Thrombophilia” organised by Manipal Centre for Benign Haematological Disorders.
We are delighted to share the successful conduct of our webinar “An Update on Thrombophilia” held on World Thrombosis Day 2025, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 attendees across the globe.
The session brought together eminent experts who shared their insights on various facets of thrombophilia:
- Dr. Sukesh Nair provided an excellent overview of diagnostic assays and the diagnostic approach to thrombophilia, simplifying complex concepts with clarity.
- Professor Beverley Hunt delivered a highly informative talk on guidelines and best practices for thrombophilia management, offering valuable clinical perspectives.
- Dr. Chepsy Philip concluded with an engaging and practical session on newer anticoagulants and their monitoring, bridging innovation and clinical relevance.
The interactive discussions, evidence-based updates, and cross-disciplinary participation made this event a meaningful way to commemorate World Thrombosis Day 2025.
A sincere thanks to all our speakers and participants for making this academic initiative a great success!”
