”I am deeply saddened by this tremendous loss.
Bruce Furie was a true giant in the field, dedicated leader and enormous contributor to International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) and the global thrombosis and hemostasis community, and a mentor to so many.
Sincere condolences to his life and career partner Dr. Barbara Furie and their family.
Bruce will be sorely missed.”
Quoting International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis‘s post:
”Bruce Furie, M.D., a longtime ISTH member and influential leader within the field of thrombosis and hemostasis, passed away on November 22, 2025.
