Heghine Khachatryan: World Federation of Hemophilia Is Far More Than An Organization
Heghine Khachatryan, Editor-in-Chief of Hemostasis Today, Head of Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, reposted from WFH on LinkedIn:
”WFH’s work consistently reinforces a critical truth:
bleeding disorders are not only medical conditions — they are issues of health equity, gender equity, and human rights.
-For clinicians, WFH represents knowledge, standards, and professional growth
-For patients, it provides voice, visibility, and dignity
– For health systems, it offers a sustainable model for organizing rare disease care.
World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) is far more than an organization — it is a global movement that has fundamentally transformed the lives of people living with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders worldwide.
As 2025 comes to a close, WFH’s impact is particularly evident in several key areas:
• increasing global awareness of hemophilia and bleeding disorders,
• addressing the long-standing underdiagnosis of bleeding disorders in women and girls,
• strengthening continuous medical education for healthcare professionals,
• advancing laboratory standards, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based care, and
• expanding equitable access to safe and effective treatment.
With gratitude for WFH’s global leadership, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care.”
Qutoing World Federation of Hemophilia‘s post:
