Michael Makris: The Wakley Prize Essay Published in Today’s Lancet is an Excellent Read
Michael Makris, Emeritus Professor of Haemostasis and Thrombosis at the University of Sheffield, shared on LinkedIn:
”The Wakley Prize essay published in today’s Lancet is an excellent read.
I also really liked the quote used in the call for submissions.
Below is from The Lancet today reporting on the Wakley Prize
In the call for submissions for the Wakley Prize earlier this year, we quoted Søren Kierkegaard‘s notion that life “must be understood backwards; but…it must be lived forwards” and encouraged people to reflect on the change they would like to see in medicine.”
