We Must Roll Up Our Sleeves And Help: José Antonio García Erce on Plasma Donation
José Antonio García Erce, Director of the Donation Center, Navarre Health Service (Osasunbidea), shared on LinkedIn:
”FIRST APHERESIS OF THE YEAR
Given the need for plasma for our patients, we must roll up our sleeves and help.
My 30th consecutive apheresis.
In 2025, Navarra sent 11% more plasma to at Grifols.
Goal for 2026: reach 25% of all donations.
In contrast, Spain as a whole would have declined in line with the population.
We need to rethink the proposed State Plan (PENAP).
We must recognize the donation of blood and apheresis socially, including it in income tax returns or in contributions for retirement, as a “substitute social benefit.”’
