Cathy Harrison: Hemophilia Nurses Advocating for People Living With Bleeding Disorders
Cathy Harrison, WFH nurses committee Chair, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This weekend was our annual UK haemophilia nurses meeting, a room full of (mainly) women, advocating for people living with bleeding disorders.
Striving to make a difference to these issues, raising the profile of women’s health, supporting education and awareness around the country about the lived experience and aiming to reduce delays in diagnosis and access to care.
Working as front line staff, listening and hearing the impact these conditions have on those affected and supporting with care provision. I’m so proud to be part of this global community, part of a community so widely influenced by female scientists, healthcare professionals and advocates. Keep at it ladies”
