Joanna Fraser: Highlights from WFH Congress 2026 in Malaysia
Joanna Fraser, Former Locum Consultant in O&G at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Honoured to have participated in the World Federation of Hemophilia Congress 2026 in Malaysia this week, joining colleagues from around the world working to improve care for Women and Girls with Bleeding Disorders (WGBD).
Across the congress, we discussed cultural taboos and stigma around menstruation, improving recognition of heavy menstrual bleeding, widening access to healthcare, and advancing equity for women and girls globally.
I was delighted to contribute as a panelist in two sessions: one on multidisciplinary care, and another on sexuality, intimacy, and inherited bleeding disorders.
It was particularly encouraging to see such strong engagement from both women and men in these important conversations!
A personal highlight was presenting alongside my mentor and long-time friend, Professor Rezan Abdul-Kadir, whose leadership in this field continues to inspire.
Most of all, I leave grateful for the new friendships, collaborations, and shared momentum for change.”
