CAR T-Cell Therapy and Life-Changing Progress in Autoimmune Disease – UNC Health

At the UNC School of Medicine, a groundbreaking CAR T-cell therapy clinical trial is giving patients with severe autoimmune diseases like lupus a chance at a life-changing reset.
‘We’re giving patients who have suffered for so long another chance, a reset at life,’ said UNC Health rheumatologist Saira Sheikh, MD.”
