Claudia Rizk: Collaborative Endovascular Intervention Enables Successful Treatment of Acute Limb Ischemia
Claudia Rizk, Product Specialist at Asmar Medical sal, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Proud to share a successful case of acute limb ischemia treated at AUBMC involving an acute thrombotic occlusion extending from the popliteal artery into the proximal tibial vessels.
The procedure was successfully managed using the AngioJet Thrombectomy System with the Solent Omni catheter, enabling rapid thrombus debulking and restoration of flow throughout the affected arterial segments.
The final angiographic result demonstrated significant thrombus removal, improved distal runoff, and successful limb revascularization without the need for prolonged thrombolytic infusion.
This highly successful intervention was led by the expert hands of Dr. Marwan Bahmad and Dr. Sami Nabhani.
Their exceptional clinical judgment, technical precision, and swift decision-making were instrumental in navigating this complex anatomy and ultimately saving the patient’s limb.
Their dedication to advancing endovascular care continues to redefine what is possible in challenging vascular emergencies at AUBMC.
A special note of gratitude goes to Maryam Khodr from Boston Scientific for her invaluable clinical expertise and seamless collaboration during this critical procedure.
I also extend my sincere thanks to Houssam Hawi and Toni Abboud from Asmar Medical Pharma for their support.
Collaborative excellence at its finest!”
