Mavis Agnes Kisakye: Proud to Join Forces with Action in Africa to Drive Awareness and Education on Blood Disorders
Mavis Agnes Kisakye, Executive Director of Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”At the Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda (HFU), we believe that closing the gap in care begins with community-led education and strong strategic partnerships.
We were proud to join forces with Action in Africa for a joint community outreach program aimed at driving grassroots awareness, breaking social stigmas, and educating the public on haemophilia and other blood disorders.
By bringing together our collective expertise, this outreach provided vital education on early symptom identification, the importance of screening, and the realities of living with haemophilia and sickle cell disease.
True access to care and inclusion can only be achieved when we meet our communities exactly where they are.
Thank you to the incredible team at Action in Africa, NNHF, CPHL and everyone who turned up to support this initiative.
Together, we are building a more informed, resilient, and supportive health system.”
