Mavis Agnes Kisakye: HFU and Rocky Mountain Recognized as Twins of the Year 2024
Mavis Agnes Kisakye, Executive Director of Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”As we look back at the journey of the Haemophilia Foundation Uganda (HFU), we are reminded of a fundamental truth, the strides we achieve in care and management for the patients are profoundly accelerated when we work alongside the right partners.
A cornerstone of our organizational development has been our invaluable partnership with the Rocky Mountain Hemophilia Foundation, made possible through the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) Twinning Program.
This collaboration was instrumental in helping us design and refine our five-year strategic plan, a comprehensive roadmap that has given HFU clear direction, aligned our priorities, and structured our national expansion.
True impact is never built in isolation, it is forged through shared vision, mutual learning, and a collective commitment to improving the lives of patients and families navigating bleeding disorders.
These are the kinds of deep, sustainable partnerships that we value most, and it is vital that they continue to grow.
Thank you to the team at Rocky Mountain and the WFH for walking this path with us.
Together, we are building a more resilient, accessible healthcare ecosystem for all.
We were deeply humbled to be recognized as the Twins of the Year 2024.”
