Julien Perrin: Presenting Thalassemia Coagulation Research at ISTH 2026

“It was wonderful to be back at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) congress in Paris after a long hiatus—and what an experience it was!
The sessions and discussions were as enriching as ever, offering plenty of leads and ideas for future work.
A highlight was the presentation of the first results from our research—co-led with Dr. Michèle Martin—on coagulation disorders in patients with thalassemia major, at CHRU de Nancy and DCAC (UMR_S 1116 INSERM-UL).
This work stems from the Master 2 projects of Dr Rémi Benoit and Dr Marie Drouilly, conducted in collaboration with Dr Jérémy Lagrange and with methodological support from Pr Nathalie THILLY.
De retour au congrès de International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) après de longues années manquées, à Paris, comment aurait-il pu en être autrement !
Des sessions et échanges toujours aussi riches, qui donnent beaucoup de pistes et d’idées pour la suite !
Avec en prime la présentation des premiers résultats de notre recherche, portée avec la Dre Michèle Martin, sur les troubles de la coagulation chez les patients porteurs de thalassémie majeure, au CHRU de Nancy et au labo DCAC (UMR_S 1116 INSERM-UL).
Résultats issus des travaux de Master 2 des Dr Rémi Benoit et Dre Marie Drouilly avec la collaboration du Dr Jérémy Lagrange et le support méthodologique du Pre Nathalie THILLY.”
