Ludwig Traby: Returning to ISTH with a New Perspective on SIC
Ludwig Traby, Infectious Diseases and Critical Care Physician at the Medical University of Vienna, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Kyoto 2011 to Paris 2026.
Quite a bit has changed since my first oral presentation at an ISTH Congress 15 years ago.
It was a pleasure to return to the ISTH stage this year and present our work on dynamic trajectories of sepsis-induced coagulopathy (SIC), highlighting the importance of persistence over a single time-point assessment.
Many thanks to my colleagues and collaborators at Amsterdam UMC and Medical University of Vienna – especially Tom van der Poll, Joost Wiersinga, and Hessel Peters-Sengers – for making this project possible.
Looking forward to seeing where the next 15 years will lead.”
