Jackie Maybin: Top 10 Research Priorities for Problematic Menstrual Bleeding in the UK
Jackie Maybin, Program Director at Wellcome Leap, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Women’s Health, adding:
“What if we stopped deciding what to research about women, and started deciding what to research with women?
Today we’re proud to publish the Top 10 Research Priorities for Problematic Menstrual Bleeding in the UK in The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Women’s Health. This research agenda was not shaped in boardrooms, but through partnership between people with lived experience and healthcare professionals.
Using the internationally recognised James Lind Alliance methodology, we worked together to identify the unanswered questions with the greatest potential to improve care for the millions affected by problematic menstrual bleeding. These priorities provide a roadmap for researchers, funders and policymakers to focus on the evidence gaps that matter most to patients and clinicians.
