Angelica Varesi: New Insights into Hematopoietic Stem Cell Biology
Angelica Varesi, PhD Student at the University of Toronto and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in bioRxiv, adding:
”Excited to share our latest preprint is out!
Huge collaborative effort merging University Health Network University of Toronto and San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget)driven by our curiosity to go beyond gene-centric approaches to study hematopoietic stem cell biology using VEXAS syndrome as a model of clonal dominance and myeloid bias.
Many thanks to my PhD supervisor John Dick without whom this work would have never been possible, to my former advisor and still estimated mentor Samuele Ferrari who made a simple curiosity becoming a real biology discover, to Bowen Li and Songtao Dong who made two-hit genetic engineering feasible, and to all the team members, whose contribution was essential for this work.
