Ahmed Bennis, Professor of Cardiology at Ibn Rochd University Hospital, shared a post on X about a recent article by Yu Yang et al., published in Annals of Internal Medicine, adding:
“Real-World Effectiveness and Safety of Direct Oral Anticoagulants Versus Warfarin in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation and Mitral Stenosis
DOACs were associated with an increased 1-year risk for stroke but a decreased risk for MI compared with warfarin.”
