José Antonio García Erce, Vocal-elect of the Board of the Spanish Society of Hematology and Hemotherapy, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”In anticipation of World apheresis day I have made my sixth donation of the year (9 in 12 months and 36 in 5 years)
Supported by the Sociedad Española de Hematología y Hemoterapia (SEHH) and GEA-Grupo Español de Aféresis we will celebrate World Apheresis Awareness Day (American Society for Apheresis September 15).
Stung by Dr Fabricio Zambom Ferraresi, who made his twelfth donation in 12 months, I have gone ahead to donate before starting the holidays.
Always remember to donate before you go on vacation.
We continue to encourage plasma donations for aféresis and all scientific societies to support us in this effort.”
