”It has been truly an honor to share a global stage and panel with powerful changemakers at the 3-day Global Alliance of Sickle Cell Disease Organizations GASCDO Global Sickle Cell Disease Conference in Nairobi.
The conference was filled with rich learning, valuable resources, meaningful conversations, and incredible networking with advocates, clinicians, researchers, and sickle cell warriors from across the world.
One key takeaway stood out for me: as we discuss global standards, we must remain intentional about local impact.
We can learn from global solutions, but sustainable change requires us to adapt and create localized solutions that respond to the realities of our communities.
Grateful for every connection, every lesson, and every inspiring conversation.
Energized for what comes next.
