Su Someh: Gaps and Variation in Global Plasma Donor Protection Policies
Su Someh, PhD Candidate, Junior Researcher Donor Health, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Transfusion Medicine Reviews, adding:
“Protecting plasma donor health
To better understand how plasma donor health is protected across blood establishments, we surveyed current policies and practices across Europe and beyond.
The survey reveals substantial variation in approaches to donor health protection, as well as important gaps in the evidence base.
These findings contribute to the work of SUPPLY WP5 towards evidence-based recommendations for plasma donor protection.
