Abdallah Othman: Arterial Blood Supply of the Cardiac Conduction System
Abdallah Othman, District Manager at Mash premiere, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Arterial Blood Supply of the Cardiac Conduction System
The cardiac conduction system fails in specific, predictable patterns dictated by its vascular anatomy.
- SA node (RCA or LCx) and AV node (∼90% RCA) leading to bradycardia or block in inferior MI.
- His bundle has dual supply (LAD and RCA).
- RBB and left anterior fascicle (LAD dependent) leading to RBBB and LAFB in anterior MI.
- Left posterior fascicle (LAD and RCA) is the most resistant.
Understanding this anatomy allows anticipation of conduction deficits in acute coronary syndromes.”
