Ajay Kumar Yadav: Empowering Healthcare Workers Through Hemophilia Education
Ajay Kumar Yadav, Counsellor at Intas Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A Hemophilia Awareness Activity was organized to enhance awareness among frontline healthcare workers (AAA) regarding hemophilia, its early identification, management, and patient support.
The session focused on strengthening community-level understanding of this genetic bleeding disorder and promoting timely healthcare intervention for affected children.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Arti Bhel, who shared valuable medical insights on recognizing early symptoms such as prolonged bleeding, unexplained bruising, joint pain, and swelling.
Participants were sensitized about the importance of early diagnosis, regular follow-up, preventive care, and timely treatment to improve the quality of life of hemophilia patients.
Key areas discussed during the session included:
- Early identification and referral of suspected hemophilia cases
- Immediate response and care during bleeding episodes
- Joint protection and preventive healthcare practices for children
- Importance of access to appropriate treatment and counseling services
- Community awareness to reduce stigma associated with hemophilia.
The session also highlighted the continued commitment of Intas Foundation towards supporting hemophilia patients through awareness initiatives, treatment assistance, counseling support, and improved healthcare accessibility.
Such awareness programs play a significant role in empowering frontline healthcare workers (AAA) and strengthening community-based support systems for individuals and families affected by hemophilia.”
