Danny Gaskin: Nominations are Open for the BBTS Transfusion Practitioner Special Interest Group Award 2026
Danny Gaskin, Biomedical Scientist, Lead Specialist at NHS Blood and Transplant, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Do you know a Transfusion Practitioner who deserves to be recognised?
Nominations are now open for the British Blood Transfusion Society Transfusion Practitioner Special Interest Group Award 2026
The award celebrates the outstanding contribution of Transfusion Practitioners across our community and is presented at the BBTS Annual Conference, taking place this September in Glasgow.
There is some truly brilliant work happening every day, often quietly and behind the scenes. This award is a great opportunity to recognise colleagues who go above and beyond for patient safety, service improvement, education, and leadership in transfusion practice.
If you work with, know of, or are inspired by a Transfusion Practitioner who deserves recognition, please do consider putting them forward.
Peer recognition really does matter.
Nominate here before the end of Feb.
Let’s make sure the amazing work across our TP community gets the spotlight it deserves.”
