Emilia Arturo: I’m Massively Proud to Be the Senior Managing Editor of the Blood Journal!
Emilia Arturo, Senior Managing Editor of Blood and Blood Global Hematology, reposted from ASH on LinkedIn:
”I’m massively proud to be the Senior Managing Editor of the Blood Journal!
For 2.5 years now, since I joined the American Society of Hematology, I’ve had the opportunity to learn about the latest in Scholarly Publishing from knowledgeable, dedicated, and conscientious colleagues, and to learn so much more about the latest, most impactful hematology research and clinical practices from our senior editors, Associate and Special Section Editors, as well as our Editorial Board.
Working with the editor team in particular has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career because of our mutual respect and their truly unwavering dedication to “doing it right” – publishing only the highest quality peer-reviewed reports that the field of hematology needs to conquer blood diseases worldwide.
Besides managing daily operations and special content, I also take great joy in reading the journal myself!
I often jump directly to the Perspectives and Blood Commentaries, and you can find all articles, organized by article type, yourself, all collated here.
If you haven’t yet, consider signing up for email alerts for the latest journal content for any journals in the Blood Journals Portfolio through your Account on our website here.
Happy birthday, Blood!
Looking forward to seeing and helping you grow this year and beyond
A note from our Editor in Chief in this first 2026 issue of Blood on what the journal is and isn’t, why the bar is what it is, and what our view of the future for the journal is.”
Quoting Blood Journals Portfolio‘s post:
”Today marks the 80th anniversary of Blood Journal.
Eight whole decades of publishing research that shapes hematology, advances patient care, and moves the field forward.
We’re grateful for the authors, reviewers, editors, and readers who have been part of this journey.
We’re looking forward to commemorating this milestone throughout 2026 and hope you enjoy the new issue out now.
Happy new year!”
