Heghine Khachatryan: Empowering Women, Advancing Hemostasis, Transforming the Future
Heghine Khachatryan, Editor-in-Chief of Hemostasis Today, Head of Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, shared World Federation of Hemophilia’s post on LinkedIn, adding:
“Empowering Women. Advancing Hemostasis. Transforming the Future.
The recognition of eleven recipients of the Susan Skinner Memorial Fund (SSMF) Scholarship at the WFH 2026 World Congress is far more than a celebration of individual achievement-it is a testament to the growing leadership of women in the global bleeding disorders community.
The scholarship program aims to develop future leaders who will strengthen advocacy, education, research, and equitable access to care for women and girls with inherited bleeding disorders.
Women are no longer merely participants in the conversation; they are shaping international policies, advancing scientific research, improving clinical practice, and driving meaningful change within their countries and across the world.
As a hematologist, I strongly believe that sustainable progress in hemostasis depends on investing in leadership, scientific excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the empowerment of women who transform knowledge into action.
Congratulations to all SSMF scholars.
Your dedication will undoubtedly contribute to a future where every woman and girl with a bleeding disorder receives timely diagnosis, comprehensive care, and equal opportunities—regardless of where she lives.
Together, we continue moving toward Treatment for All.”
