ISTH 2026 Showcases Landmark Research and Launches Women’s Health Hub
International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On Monday, July 13, the ISTH hosted the official ISTH 2026 Press Conference, bringing together leading experts to share groundbreaking research and major Society initiatives shaping the future of thrombosis and hemostasis.
Attendees heard exclusive commentary on the following late-breakthrough abstracts:
- Extended Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis Comparing Rivaroxaban and Aspirin to Aspirin Alone Following Total Hip or Total Knee Arthroplasty – The EPCAT III Study
- Long-acting prophylaxis through targeted activated protein C modulation: phase IIb results of SR604 in hemophilia
The press conference also featured remarks from Donna DiMichele, co-chair of the ISTH Global Public Affairs Committee, on the launch of the new ISTH Women’s Health Hub.
Building on the Society’s recently released Women’s Health Public Policy Agenda, the hub reflects the ISTH’s growing commitment to addressing longstanding gaps in awareness, diagnosis, treatment and research affecting women and girls around the world.
By bringing together researchers, clinicians, journalists and global health leaders, the ISTH helps ensure that the latest discoveries and initiatives reach the people who can translate evidence into better care, stronger policies and improved outcomes for patients worldwide.”
